Public Transportation

Helping municipalities avoid non-attainment status.

CleanFlex has been working with StarTran, the public bus system in Lincoln, Nebraska, to test its technology as part of a sustainability strategy to reduce the use of petroleum-based fuels and lower carbon emissions. According to the City of Lincoln, “This test installation has shown a meaningful reduction in diesel exhaust emissions, nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate matter (PM).” See letter from City of Lincoln

CleanFlex technology can also dramatically improve air quality for children riding on school buses. Reduced emissions—especially particulate matter that is extremely harmful to young lungs—is one of the most significant benefits of employing retrofit CleanFlex systems on school buses.
